Lore & Background

Lincoln Loud lives in the fictional town of Royal Woods, Michigan, based on Savino's hometown of Royal Oak. He is the middle child and only boy in a family of eleven children. His ten sisters each have a distinctive personality: bossy eldest child Lori, ditzy fashionista Leni, musician Luna, comedian Luan, athletic Lynn Jr., gloomy poetic goth Lucy, polar opposite twins Lana and Lola, child genius Lisa, and baby Lily. Lincoln often breaks the fourth wall to explain to viewers the chaotic conditions and sibling relationships of the household, and continually devises plans to make his life in the Loud House better. During the first four seasons, Lincoln was in elementary school; in the fifth season, he aged up a year and went to middle school.

In Their Own Story

One morning, Lincoln tiptoed past the bathroom line, hoping to snag a few minutes of peace. But as he reached for the doorknob, a chorus of 'Linc! Wait your turn!' echoed from the hall. He sighed, pulled out his trusty plan notebook, and began sketching a new scheme to earn his family's favor—maybe a homemade breakfast, or a surprise chore chart. In the Loud House, every day was a new adventure, and Lincoln was always ready to scheme his way through it.

Reader's Guide

Lincoln Loud is the heart of *The Loud House*, a resourceful and imaginative boy who often serves as the audience's window into the family's chaos. His role evolves from a schemer seeking personal gain to a more selfless brother who values his sisters' happiness. He has no superpowers but relies on creativity, persistence, and a deep understanding of each sister's personality—knowing exactly when to bribe Leni with a smoothie or avoid Lynn during tournament season. Key moments include his attempts to win the 'Loudest Family' contest, his friendship with Clyde McBride, and his growth from a solo planner to a team player. Lincoln's arc emphasizes that family, despite its noise, is his greatest asset.
